The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology ICGEB is an intergovernmental research organisation that operates within the United Nations common system. It was established in 1983 as a Centre for excellence in research, training and technology transfer to industry in the field of biotechnology to promote sustainable global development.
