CiMaas is at the forefront of developing innovative immunotherapy solutions for cancer treatment, focusing on the utilization of Natural Killer (NK) cells. Their proprietary technology allows for the rapid expansion of NK cells, achieving a remarkable increase of 5,000 to 10,000-fold within just 12 days. This expansion is facilitated through the use of GMP-grade K562-F012 feeder cells, which are meticulously manufactured to ensure they are free from contaminants, making them suitable for clinical applications. CiMaas offers both irradiated and non-irradiated versions of these feeder cells, both of which yield identical NK cell expansion rates, ensuring high cytotoxicity even after freeze/thaw cycles.

In addition to their NK cell expansion technology, CiMaas is advancing the development of Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR)-NK cells aimed at treating solid tumors. This approach is designed to enhance the activity of NK cells while potentially reducing toxicity compared to traditional CAR-T cell therapies. The initial focus of this research is on breast cancer, but the technology is adaptable for various solid tumors.
