Lumito AB specializes in advanced imaging technologies for histological analysis, particularly through its innovative product SCIZYS. This system employs a patented technique that enhances the quality of tissue images, providing higher contrast and granularity compared to traditional immunohistochemistry (IHC). SCIZYS effectively eliminates background noise from irrelevant tissue and autofluorescence, achieving a very low detection limit. The product line includes SCIZYS S1, SCIZYS SW, and SCIZYS Erbium Kit, which work together to deliver superior imaging results.

The imaging process involves several key steps, starting with the preparation of histological samples using standard methods. The tissue sample is then placed in a specialized slide holder and scanned, allowing for the capture of up to four slides simultaneously. An automatic preview feature generates initial images, enabling users to adjust parameters and optimize image quality before high-resolution scanning. The resulting images are then made available for analysis, showcasing Lumito's commitment to enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of tissue imaging in medical research and diagnostics.

Lumito is a spin-off from a research team at Lund University's Division of Atomic Physics and Laser Centre and is planning to launch its product SCIZYS for research laboratories initially.
