The device includes a single-use adhesive array with 66 electrodes that captures gastric electrical data, and the information is digitized through the Alimetry™ Reader. Following the assessment, a comprehensive Gastric Alimetry Report is generated, which integrates the recorded data with patient-reported symptoms, aiding healthcare professionals in diagnosing chronic gastric conditions.

The Gastric Alimetry system is designed to be user-friendly for both patients and clinicians. Patients can comfortably participate in the assessment while logging their symptoms through the Gastric Alimetry App, which is specifically designed for use with an iPad mini®. The system's non-invasive nature allows for a 30-minute baseline recording before a standardized meal is ingested, followed by a four-hour post-meal evaluation.
