Fast MDx has developed the NGX 124 qPCR Molecular Diagnostic Platform, which is designed to provide low-cost, high-throughput molecular diagnostics accessible to a broader population, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. This platform operates with a fully automated system that allows a single technician to manage the testing process, significantly reducing operational costs associated with traditional diagnostic methods. The NGX 124 can process over 1,000 patient test results in an eight-hour shift, making it up to five times more efficient than manual testing. Additionally, the platform minimizes the carbon footprint by reducing transportation and packaging needs, as well as electrical consumption through its optimized thermal cycling technology.

The NGX 124 is characterized by its open platform design, which allows it to run various assay types, including laboratory-developed tests and commercially available assays from independent manufacturers. This flexibility is intended to foster competition and drive down costs for diagnostic tests. The system is CE-IVDR and UKCA marked, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. By eliminating upfront capital expenditures and offering a pay-per-test model, Fast MDx aims to democratize access to molecular diagnostics, ultimately improving health outcomes and reducing the spread of infectious diseases.
